Hello! I’m Truman Hudson III, a dedicated trainer at 10 Fitness. My journey here began with a desire to cultivate my passion for fitness and coaching, and I knew 10 Fitness was the perfect place to nurture that fire. I’ve been training others and writing programs for roughly 10 months, bringing a unique blend of experience and enthusiasm to every session.
I hold a NASM certification and attended Arts Academy in the Woods, an arts-focused charter school in Detroit, Michigan. My educational background in the arts has given me a creative approach to fitness, making my training sessions engaging and effective.
Professionally, I am known for my three-year career as a professional wrestler. This experience allowed me to travel, network, and live my dream working with the best in the field of sports entertainment. Through this journey, I gained valuable skills in networking and marketing, which I now apply to my role as a trainer.
What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to bring a positive impact to others’ lives through health and wellness. Witnessing my clients’ progress and knowing I contributed to their well-being fills me with gratitude as I move into the next chapter of my life.
One of my strengths is breaking down complex scientific terminology into simple, colloquial terms. This ability helps clients feel more confident and knowledgeable about their anatomy and the exercises they’re performing.
When I’m not working, you can find me DJing, mixing music, longboarding, inline skating, or taking walks in the park. I also enjoy trying different training modalities and improving my skills in these areas. Growing up in an art and music-centric household, I incorporate both into my daily life, finding great peace in the arts.
I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, but moved to find more opportunities for growth. Although I currently don’t volunteer, I believe serving the community is integral to making a difference. In the past, I’ve sought opportunities to give back and plan to continue doing so in the future.
Throughout my academic journey, I graduated as the valedictorian of my high school and received the Governor’s Award for outstanding performance in school.
It would be impossible for me to give up anything involving movement. Having experienced a severe injury that left me barely able to walk, I dread ever losing my ability to move again.
As for how I want to be remembered, I don’t necessarily seek to be remembered. My focus is on doing my best while I’m here. Initially, I aspired to be remembered as one of the best wrestlers in the world, but I’ve since realized that the journey is more valuable than the goal.
One of my favorite quotes is “Maktub,” meaning “it is written” in Arabic, from the book The Alchemist. It reminds me that everything happens for a reason.
And here’s a fun fact about me: I can draw a circle and triangle at the same time!
Looking forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals and being a part of your transformative journey!
