Hello! I’m Derrick Bean, your go-to trainer at 10 Fitness. I’m passionate about directly impacting people’s lives, which is why I chose this path over working for a news station. With a year of experience as a trainer, I’m excited to bring my dedication and enthusiasm to each session with you.
 
I graduated from Arkansas State University, where I played football and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Media Production with a minor in Marketing, focusing on Corporate Media. This background, combined with my NASM certification, has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to help you achieve your fitness goals.
 
Professionally, I’m known for my knack for playing sports and my commitment to helping people in the community. As a trainer, I specialize in helping clients build a sustainable relationship with fitness. My coaching philosophy is centered around serving and transforming lives. I’m most passionate about witnessing the exciting journey of someone becoming the best version of themselves and consider it an honor to be part of that transformation.

When I’m not coaching, you can find me at the park running or spending time with friends, learning new skills to create value. Personally, I’m passionate about helping others and using my story to motivate and inspire. Watching people achieve life-changing results fuels my drive.
 
I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, and moved to Arkansas for college football. After graduating, I decided to stay and pursue my career as a trainer. I’m also actively involved in volunteer activities, including blood and food drives with my fraternity brothers from Omega Psi Phi (Que Dogs).
 
I’ve been recognized for my achievements, including being named to the First Team All-Conference in 2018 and maintaining a 3.0 GPA honor student status in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. My dedication to fitness and love for brownies are constants in my life.
 
I want to be remembered as an honest man of God, always willing to give the shirt off his back. My favorite podcast is Yahki Awakened, and I’m inspired by the book “As a Man Thinketh.”
