Hello! I’m Austin Melvin, and joining the team at 10 Fitness was an easy decision after discovering the support they provide for obtaining certification. I’m relatively new to the personal training world, but I bring a wealth of experience and dedication from my previous career as an EMT in California, a role I served in for three years.
I graduated from Beebe High School in 2011 and later from ASU-Searcy’s EMS program in 2021, where I topped my class and immediately started working with NorthStar EMS. My background in emergency medicine has instilled a deep sense of fulfillment in me, driven by the direct impact I could have on people’s lives—a sentiment I carry into my current role.
Professionally, I’m passionate about making a meaningful difference. Personal training offers a unique platform to positively influence others’ lives, helping them to see beyond their current circumstances and envision a healthier future. Clients often praise my listening skills, noting that I genuinely understand and respond to their needs, helping them to transform not just physically but mentally as well.
When I’m not at the gym, you’re likely to find me at home, either concocting something delicious in the kitchen or enjoying video games on a rainy Saturday afternoon with a pot of chili simmering nearby. My personal life is driven by a love for progress—seeing it in myself and inspiring it in others, which fuels my commitment to personal and professional growth.
Originally from Brinkley, Arkansas, I moved away to seek better opportunities and experiences, which led me to my current path in health and fitness. While I don’t engage in traditional volunteer work, I’m an active supporter of Man-A-Live, a men’s mental health awareness group.
In every aspect of life, I strive to give more than I receive, a philosophy echoed in one of my favorite quotes from Gandalf: “Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.“
A fun fact about me? I’m quite the character once you get to know me—expect weird noises, funny faces, and even awkward walking. It’s all part of what makes me, well, me!
