About Walker
Hello! I’m Walker McDermott, a new addition to the 10 Fitness family. I entered the fitness industry with a strong desire to connect more deeply with my passion for personal training. After looking into various job opportunities, I found 10 Fitness to be the right place to grow and develop in this field.
I live in Springfield, Missouri, where I earned my Personal Trainer certification. I graduated from Evangel University with a degree in leadership and went to high school in Lebanon, MO. My previous clients have valued my ability to build personal connections. I focus on creating a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere during workouts, finding joy in building genuine friendships with shared goals.
What I enjoy most about working at 10 Fitness is the chance to grow and improve as a trainer while meeting new people. I take pride in designing workout plans that strengthen all parts of the body equally, using creative, effective, and enjoyable exercises.
Outside of work, I like spending time with my family—usually watching our ongoing Star Wars marathon—getting outside for activities, or focusing on my own fitness progress. I enjoy working through challenges and improving myself, both personally and professionally.
I grew up in Lebanon, MO, and moved to Springfield to pursue education and career opportunities. I volunteer on my church’s worship team, where I sing and lead bands.
In my free time, I have a fun hobby of curating playlists on Spotify for every mood and occasion. I value consistent personal growth, both mentally and physically, and it’s something that keeps me motivated.
I hope people remember me as a genuine and kind person who brought positivity and a good attitude to those around him. One of my favorite quotes is, “The only bad workout is the one you didn't do,” which keeps me motivated each day.
